I'm not quite finished with the Matt 7 passage, but will finish it this week. I'm going to join so many of you in memorizing the Lamentations passage for the second half of the month. I've really focused on waking up in the morning and thanking him for the new mercies for the day. Having this passage in my memory will make it so sweet. I love speaking His very words back to him through prayer. His words are so much more profound than my own!
I will be working on Lamentations 3:19-21 NIV for the next two weeks and will add the next three or so verses in June.
Lam 3:19-21
I remember my affliction and my wandering,
the bitterness and the gall.
I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.

Please post your verses. Please don't skip out on memorizing through the summer. As it turns out, we pretty much need God and His word in our lives the whole, entire year without breaks.

You know when you read the right scripture at the right time and how it is perfect for everything going on in your life right then? thats how isiah 58 is for me right now. i wanted to write the whole chapter :) but I narrowed it down to this section:
Is. 58:8-9
"Then your light will break fourth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear. Then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer: Here I am!"
I have struggled with sickness for the past many years. It's just been a battle lately, and sometimes it's hard to believe that God does desire to heal my body. But everyday my faith in anything but Jesus is false, and that only He can see me through.

This second half of May (yikes..Almost June already?!) I will be focusing on :9 & 10...

it has been a busy month but I thought later was better than never :) Between finals and prepping for the trip I haven't fully memorized James 1:19-21, so here is to finally memorizing it by the end of may :)

This was a verse I memorized a long time ago, but I was so excited Chad brought it up in his sermon that I wanted to make sure I really knew it well.
